Polzeath is around 1 hour from Higher Forda and is a small village on the North Cornwall coast, famous for it's beautiful beach, which also happens to be one of the worlds best surfing destinations.
We actually stayed over night, as part of an October campervan weekend away.
We stayed at Tristams campsite - www.polzeathcamping.co.uk which is situated right on the cliff overlooking the beach.
We had really yummy pizza from /www.instagram.com/paradisepizza__/ and a glass of wine, watching the late October sunset.
We will be back to Polzeath...
